ABORTION A. K. A. MURDER
A mother kills her baby because she doesn’t want it, yet she is not charged with murder. Is this right? Believe it or not, this has happened more than twenty-million times in the past twenty years. The problem is that they have been killed legally because of abortion. Many people approve of abortion because they consider that a fetus is not an individual human until birth.
Abortion is wrong and it shouldn't be legal. If a doctor killed a baby
one minute after it was born, he would be charged with murder. But if they
were to kill a baby one minute before it was born, and a minute before that and
so on, they would not be considered a murderer. At what minute can one
consider life worthless or precious?
Some people fully agree with abortion. But I don’t. I admit that abortion should be utilized in case the birthmother is less than 18 years old or was raped. But some times the birthmother is forced by family or partner to abort.
There are two types of procedures used to perform abortion. The first method is called surgical abortion. The second is the non-surgical or the medical abortion.
These are the steps doctors take to perform surgical abortion.
* A machine operated by suction, gently empties the uterus.
* In most cases you will be given medication for several hours prior to the procedure to help open the cervix.
* Initially the cervix and vagina is cleaned with an antiseptic.
* The physician will inject a local anesthetic into or near your cervix.
* The entrance of the cervix is then gently opened with dilators.
* A plastic suction curette is inserted into the uterus. The suction machine is turned on.
* The uterus is then carefully emptied by suction.
*As you can see in Picture A, a suction machine is used to remove all of the tissue.
