Alicia

Alicia Keys

The song I chose is "Butterflyz." The reason I chose this song was because the first time I heard it I fell in love with the Piano parts, they are just so beautiful and I love the piano because it is very hypnotizing and it calms me down. This song talks about a guy that gives her butterflyz; She likes this guy a lot and it makes her feel good. This guy makes her feel like she's never felt before and she talks about how she feels and how that feeling is taking over her how she can't control. This song basically repeats the same things, but that shows how deeply she feels abou this feeling.

I chose Alicia Keys because she is not the kind of person that would use explicit language and disrespect anyone, and she has a very nice voice that makes you sort of feel the music. Alicia Keys was born January 4,1981 in Manhattan, New York. Alicia Keys began practicing her skills at the early age of five. She began her piano lessons at the age of seven and was not allowed to quit; Her mother told her "you can quit anything else, but you can never give up on your piano lessons." Alicia was a very successful student and graduated at the age of 16. She went from High School to Columbia Music. Alicia Keys was approached by many record labels but signed with Clive Davis, head of Artista Records in 1999. When Clive moved to J records, Alicia followed him and moved there right with him. She released her first album in 2001 at the age of 19. At the 2002 Grammy Awards, Alicia took home awards for Song of the Year, Best R&B Song, Best R&B Album, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, and Best New Artist. Alicia Keys is a wonderful person and also beautiful, has a nice voice and is very skillful when it comes to the piano, she can be considered an American joy.
