All My Sons - Joe Keller

Joe Keller knew that he was sending out defective parts, and
that some would not work. He also knew that accidents would
happen and that people might die. Thus, there is only one
way he could ever redeem himself, and that will be turning
himself in. Going back to court, telling everyone that he
was the reason that the plances crashed, not Ann's fathers
fault. Also in doing that, it would free the innocent which
is Ann's father and Joe Keller would get what he deserved,
and sent to prison.
Joe also had a responsobility to provide for his
family, which is why one could see sympathy for him. Joe
knew that if he did not send out the broken parts he would
be finished. His factory would loose alot of business and
maybe he would have went under. So he did what any other man
would have done. I mean he coudld have told Ann's father not
to send them out, and if the factory goes under, he could
look for regular work. Would you do that? Give up all the
benifits of owning your own business and end up working like
a nomral everyday nobody? Meaning you would have to give up
all the little things that make life fun. Selling his house
moving into a poor neighborhood? Having nothiong to laeve to
his kids once he retires. So he dosent do that. Did his
actions meet the responsobility? No, he should have been the
one behind bars. But Joe Keller did what he thought was
right for his family, and as he said, he did it for them.
