Without a shadow of a doubt, our ways of acquiring knowledge and even our way of life are being atered in countless ways by computers and the Internet, poving us both information and enjoyment.Even though the computer may possible be seen to have affected the traditional position of teachers in the classroom, the critical role that teacher plays in children's learning experience, social development and self-concept must be recognized.
In addition to conculting knowledge, teachers have at least anther major role;a guided role by which children are contraolled throughout the classtime. For instance, the teacher may become a 'talent scont' attempting to setermine specific interests, hobbies or strengths of different students in the classroom,so that the passtive attitude of studying will be cultived.Movever,by virtue of being younger and less experience, students are inclined to allot their time and energy inappropriately, due to they have less sound practical judgement than their teachers.
Yet, some people believe that in the age networked information,it may no longer ture that teachers have a monopoly of knowledge, therefor,it is possible to achieve the academic success by themselves in the classroom.
However, most important, enjoyable activities can be used effectively to foster social development in the classroom by teachers. At the same time, teachers are able to constuntly search for opportanities to promote and encourage appropriate social interactions for students.
In conclusion, even thought computers present us a ivid world in front of us,it is just one-way instrument therefore, the effects of this type of education are by no mean the traditional one.
