Plot:
One night Ghost of Jacob Marley appears to Scrooge. He is wrapped in chains, account book and chests. He reproaches him with his way of life. But he wants to give him another chance to change it after other three ghosts come or he ends up like him.
The first ghost is Ghost of Christmas Past. It takes Scrooge to his birthplace. He can see his old school, sister Fan, and all the gaity during the Christmas. He also learns why his girlfriend left him – because of his growing desire to own more and more money. Scrooge is horrified.
The second is Ghost of Christmas Present. It shows him how people spend Christmas. They are grateful even for the little they have. He can see the poor family of Bob Cratcher, who toast to Scrooge, even though Bob is paid only little money by him. Scrooge learns that if they do not have more money, his son will have died by next Christmas. He can see also his nephew who defends him at a party.
The third is Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. It shows him the worst things of all. He shows him his own death, how poor people take clothes off his dead body. They can see Bob's family again, but Tim is dead and they have no money. Scrooge sees also a grave with his name on. He is terrified.
The ghosts vanish and Scrooge finds himself at home. He wants to change. He raises Bob's salary, gives money on charity, visits his nephew, he becomes a good friend and employer.
