A Commitment Cannot Be Achieved Without Personal Sacrifices And Help From Others
As considering the issue, I believe that personal sacrifices and help from others are necessary to reach a commitment.
It is no doubt that achieving a commitment is not easy and needs personal sacrifices sometimes. Moria Kelley (Unsung Hero) committed to helping children who need plastic surgery all around the world. She rebuilds their faces and their lives, and never asks payback. But she needs to do these things far away from her home country. This means that she can not have normal life as other people even some afternoon tea time with her family and friends. Moreover, Moria Kelley sacrificed the comfort and safety. She works in some places where poor conditions have and war just happened. Another example is Vincent Freeman (GATTACA). He committed to achieving his dream to go to space and changing his destined state. For his dream, Vincent can accept a lot of troublesome daily preparation work and height surgery to become Jerome. He also sacrifices his original identity. A lot of people sacrifice time, money, personal emotion, energy¡for their commitment. Obviously, a commitment cannot be achieved without personal sacrifices.
