a beThe deadline for submission of proposals to the 20th World Congress on Reading, to be held in Manila, Philippines, July 26 - 29, 2004, has been extended to July 11, 2003. The theme of the Congress is "Literacy Across Cultures," and the official language of the Congress will be English.
International Reading Association members and others interested in promoting literacy worldwide are invited to submit proposals for presentation. Presenting in the Philippines will give you an outstanding opportunity to engage in dialogue with educators from around the world.
I hope you will consider sharing your experience and expertise with colleagues from a wide range of backgrounds and cultural perspectives. I look forward to hearing from you!
