A Memory Of A Person Or Place And More Recent Enocounter

I was running late for work that Wednesday and was rushing through the crowd at the downtown. I happened to collide with a number of people and all of them gave that frustrating look of an irritated person. I had no time for an explanation and I just nudged my way through. Suddenly I bumped into this tall guy who resembled a lot like my father. He showed the same reaction others did. But I do not know for some reason I just could not get my eyes off him as I walked on bumping into another woman in the process. I looked back to say sorry to that guy but he was no longer there. The woman whom I just collided with was very shocked. Instead of saying sorry to her I turned back and said sorry to that guy. She said loudly how rude I was, but I just shrugged it off and ran quickly.

I do not know but after work that day, I was recalling the whole incident in the morning and I seemed to smile. When I thought of that guy, I smiled more and I seemed to like him but it was unlikely I would meet him again. I told myself, if I do meet, then this world is really a small place.
The next day, the advertising I work for company had a meeting with some big international company named TEMASEK CORP. regarding the signing of an agreement between both companies. Our company was to advertise and promote their products and goods to the local market. I was also there during the meeting. After everything was over, I went to the ladies to refresh myself and I was surprised to see that guy coming out of the gents. As the call of nature was rather enforcing, I rushed to the ladies without even saying sorry for the collision that day or hi at least. I was cursing myself all the while as I missed a very good opportunity to get to know him. Well, for once I concluded that the world is indeed small but how many times would this happen to me. He really looked like my father with whom I share a very close relationship. But history would repeat itself so many times and that too...
