The toughest challenge I have faced in life thus far and one that I am still dealing with is the absence of a solid relationship with my father. My parents separated when I was fifteen and I chose to live with my mother. She has always been a major influence in my life whereas it seems my father has always been more dedicated to his work. Him putting all his heart into his career rather than his family was the source of my parent’s separation. The concept of divorce does not upset me, but my father using it as an excuse for not wanting to be in my life does.
